Brewers top prospects
1) Mark Rogers, RHP, Grade B-: Borderline B. Love the stuff, but command concerns keep me cautious with the grade.
2) Cody Scarpetta, RHP, Grade B-: Borderline B. Personal favorite for a couple of years, like Rogers I worry about his command but like his stuff.
3) Kentrail Davis, OF, Grade B-: Good tools, hits for average, I think he'll get on base. But what about power?
4) Amaury Rivas, RHP, Grade B-: Solid across the board, looks like a fourth starter to me.
5) Kyle Heckathorn, RHP, Grade B-: Huge ground ball specialist, another future fourth starter?
6) Wily Peralta, RHP, Grade B-: Another arm with solid stuff, though I don't like the dropping strikeout rate and deterioration in K/BB in Double-A.
7) Scooter Gennett, 2B, Grade B-: A very good hitter, needs to polish defense but could make a lot of noise in '11. Keep close track of him.
8) Jimmy Nelson, RHP, Grade C+: Starter or reliever? Fits into Brewers profile as a fourth starter type with decent
but not exceptional stuff.
9) Caleb Gindl, OF, Grade C+: I think he's better than he looked in Double-A, but still more of a future role player than heavy duty regular.
10) Eric Komatsu, OF, Grade C+: Like Gindl, can be a good role player but unless he turns the power up he will be stretched to start.
11) Tyler Thornburg, RHP, Grade C+: Very good stuff, could move quickly if used in bullpen.
12) Hunter Morris, 1B, Grade C: Plenty of power potential, but something makes me wonder if he'll fully live up to expectations. I might be underrating him.
13) D'Vontrey Richardson, OF, Grade C: Outstanding tools, extremely raw. Can he refine them?
14) Tyler Roberts, C, Grade C: Strong power potential, needs a lot of defensive polish.
15) Eric Farris, 2B, Grade C: Forgotten man after injury season, but he can steal bases and has a good glove.
16) Khris Davis, OF, Grade C: Good power production in the Midwest League, but a bit old for the level. Grade will rise if he hits in Double-A. . .might be able to pull a Jerry Sands.
17) Logan Schafer, OF, Grade C: Should be a good fourth outfielder if he gets healthy.
18) Dan Merklinger, LHP, Grade C: Doesn't have blazing stuff, but good stats, protected on 40-man roster. Maybe a fifth starter.
19) Mike Fiers, RHP, Grade C: Older prospect at 25, fastball is average, but really knows how to pitch.
20) Robert Hinton, RHP, Grade C: Good fastball/slider combo could help in pen this year.

Houston Astros(Sellers)

Starting Pitchers
J.A. Happ
Brett Myers
Wandy Rodriguez
Jordan Lyles
Bud Norris

Bullpen
David Carpenter
Enerio Del Rosario
Sergio Escalona
Wilton Lopez
Mark Melancon
Aneury Rodriguez
Fernando Rodriguez

Catchers
Humberto Quintero
Carlos Corporan

Infielders
Jose Altuve
Clint Barmes
Matt Downs
Chris Johnson
Angel Sanchez
Brett Wallace

Outfielders
Brian Bogusevic
Michael Bourn
Carlos Lee
Jason Michaels
Hunter Pence

Astros top prospects
1) Jordan Lyles, RHP, Grade B+: He won't be a superstar, but he'll soak innings and throw strikes.
2) Delino DeShields, 2B, Grade B-: If he turns out like his dad, the Astros will be happy. Grade can/should rise once he gets more experience.
3) Mike Foltynewicz, RHP, Grade B-: One of my favorite high school pitchers from the 2010 draft.
4) Austin Wates, OF, Grade B-: I think this guy is underrated. Should hit for average, get on base, and provide steals.
5) J.D. Martinez, OF, Grade B-: Steal from the 2009 draft, has decent tools, knows how to hit, but was just a 20th round pick.
6) Tanner Bushue, RHP, Grade C+: Erratic in the Sally League, but still young and projectable.
7) Aneury Rodriguez, RHP, Grade C+: You know your system is thin when a Rule 5 guy gets into the Top 10. But he has a good arm and should be able to help this year.
8) Mark Melancon, RHP, Grade C+: Like Rodriguez, he's ready to help now. If he throws enough strikes, he could close eventually.
9) Jonathan Villar, SS, Grade C+: Would rank higher on pure tools, but I have significant worries about his bat.
10) Jimmy Paredes, 2B, Grade C+: Like Villar, he came over in a trade, he's got the tools, but I'm not sure he'll hit.
11) Mike Kvasnicka, 3B-C-OF, Grade C+: I don't think the NY-P numbers reflect his bat fairly, but what position does he play?
12) Jiovanni Mier, SS, Grade C+: One of the big disappointments of the 2010 season. Young enough to rebound.
13) Jose Altuve, 2B, Grade C: You have to love the numbers, but can a 5-5 player really succeed at higher levels? We'll find out this year.
14) Dallas Keuchel, LHP, Grade C: Throws strikes, gets ground balls, could surprise as fifth starter type.
15) Jay Austin, OF, Grade C: Great tools, but I doubt the bat.
16) Ariel Ovando, OF, Grade C: Great tools, power, cost a lot of money, but hasn't played in the US yet and I am cautious about such players until we get real data.
17) Douglas Arguello, LHP, Grade C: Older prospect that you won't see on other lists, but he throws strikes, gets grounders, and could sneak into major league role this year.
18) Brian Bogusevic, OF, Grade C: Perfect fit as a reserve outfielder. Won't hit for average, but can do everything else decently.
19) Telvin Nash, 1B-OF, Grade C: Excellent power potential but lacks other skills.
20) Carlos Quevedo, RHP, Grade C: Strike-thrower had good year in the New York-Penn League, though doesn't fan a lot of people.

Pospect i got

Prospects i get from the Rangers:
#3) Martin Perez, LHP, Grade A-: Could be a left-handed version of Feliz if all goes well. Expectations are lofty, but so is the talent
#4) Tanner Scheppers, RHP, Grade B+: Borderline A-. I'd make him an A-, but I still worry that the shoulder problems will recur. His ceiling is terrific and he could be num
#5) Wilmer Font, RHP, Grade B: Another very high ceiling arm, could be B+ or even A- with another year of development.
13) Max Ramirez , C, Grade C+: Grade gets knocked back some due to defense and durability concerns but I still think he'll hit enough to help someone.
14) Miguel Velazquez, OF, Grade C+: There are makeup concerns here but he's got the tools and he performed well in the Northwest League. Need higher level data and another year of makeup stability.

Prospect i got from the Rays
2) Jeremy Hellickson , RHP, Grade A-: For many years, I was the most famous baseball-oriented graduate of Hoover High School in Des Moines, Iowa. Jeremy Hellickson has changed that. Roy Oswalt type if he avoids injury. I love the guy.
3) Wade Davis , RHP, Grade A-: I love this guy too. If Hellickson could become Oswalt, Davis could become John Lackey .
5) Alexander Colome, RHP, Grade B: borderline B+. Excellent stuff, just needs to sharpen his command and transition to full-season ball.
6) Reid Brignac , SS, Grade B-: Glove has really developed, bat is good-enough for him to play given the defense. No room in Tampa barring injury; would be terrific trade bait.
7) Alexander Torres , LHP, Grade B-: More strikeouts, and gets lots of grounders, too. Command needs to sharpen up for a higher grade.
8) Tim Beckham, SS, Grade B-: Still has youth and tools, but not developing the way scouts anticipated. Plate discipline and defense have become issues. It will be very interesting to see how this one pans out. . .could be anything from a B+ to a C a year from now.
11) Luke Bailey, C, Grade C+: Difficult to rank since we don't know if the Tommy John is going to impact his defense yet. Was a first round talent before he got hurt.
12) Kyle Lobstein, LHP, Grade C+: Pitchability lefty breezed through the New York-Penn League. Projects as control-oriented three/four starter, assuming he passes the Double-A test.
13) Aneury Rodriguez, RHP, Grade C+: Got killed the first half of the season in Double-A, but pitched great starting in mid-July. Could break through in '10.
14) Kyeong Kang, OF, Grade C+: Underrated tools, took a big step forward with his plate discipline while hitting .307 with power in the Sally League.
15) Matthew Sweeney, 1B, Grade C+: He is a butcher at third base and needs to move to first, but I really like the bat. Nice pick up in the Kazmir deal.
16) Todd Glaesman, OF, Grade C+: Excellent tools, have to see if he can control the zone at higher levels. Could be Top Ten guy next year if he does.
20) Matt Gorgen, RHP, Grade C+: Command is an issue but I like him as a sleeper relief arm.
